As result of the findings during the execution of narcotics search warrants by East Central Drug Task Force investigators at two residences in Cooper County on August 2, three Wooldridge residents have been charged with drug-related felonies.
At one location, authorities say they found a plastic bag containing methamphetamine; a brown tar substance- which field tested to be heroin; a digital scale; and several used syringes. At the other residence, authorities allegedly found glass smoking devices; a digital scale with white crystal residue; glass pipes with marijuana residue; and a revolver.
According to online court documents, 52-year-old Franklin Evans Jr. and 21-year-old Autumn Williams have been charged with two counts of a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; and Evans a Class E Felony for Keeping or Maintaining a Nuisance at the first location. At the other location, 65-year-old Billie Jean Nichols has been charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety for each of the accused.
Each subject pleaded not guilty at arraignment hearings on August 7. Williams’ and Nichols’ counsel-status hearings are scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 13; and Evans’ next hearing is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, at Cooper County Circuit Court.
