Saline County Emergency Preparedness Planner Russ Donnell was at the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, September 19, and said a successful training exercise was conducted at Big Bend Retreat in Slater on Tuesday, September 17.
In all, Donnell said 22 agencies and 62 participants took part in the two-hour event. He said they are ecstatic to have so many agencies and people participate.

Donnell said the biggest problem during the full-scale, longterm-care facility evacuation exercise was communication.
