More than four dozen bricks honoring area veterans were placed at the “Veterans’ Memory Walk of Honor” at the Saline County Courthouse in Marshall on Saturday, November 2.
A news release from former Saline County Northern District Commissioner Charlie Guthrie says 50 bricks were installed in the sidewalk on the west side of the courthouse.
Guthrie says Marshall fire fighters Raymond Coslet, Ryan Stedem, Andreas Enyart and David Yadrich installed the bricks, along with help from Bob Robinson, Zack Fletcher, Bill Sleeper, Ed Reis, Kip Bethel and Guthrie.
Bricks again will be placed at the “Veterans’ Memory Walk of Honor” before Memorial Day in May 2020.
Guthrie says the veteran does not have to be from Saline County.
Bricks honoring veterans cost $50 each, and applications are available at the Saline County Collector’s, Recorder of Deeds or Treasurer’s office at the courthouse; or at Dale Zank’s State Farm Insurance office; or from Reis at Wood & Huston Bank in Marshall.
