Charles Dean “Charlie” Brightwell, age 40, of Marshall, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 17, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, where visitation begins at 9:30. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.

To honor Charlie, it is requested that everyone wear casual attire and if you have a racing shirt, please wear it.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

In addition to his mother, Janet; and his father, Ronnie (Sheila); he is survived by two daughters, Adyson Renea Brightwell (Taylor), of Marshall, and Alexis Powell (Cole), of Columbia; one grandson, Abram Anderson; three siblings: Jeremy Dean Brightwell, of Marshall, Tiffany Mullins (Nathan), of Sedalia, and Timothey Dean Brightwell (Leslie), of Archie; four nephews: C.J., Isaac, Xavier and William; two nieces, Shaunna and Kennedy; a great-niece and great-nephew; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Charlie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Edna Strodtmann; paternal grandparents, John and Pauline Brightwell; and an aunt, Donna Mushaney.
