Valentine’s Day is the day when people show their affection for another person or people by sending cards, flowers or chocolates with messages of love. The special occasion might finish with a special dinner. This year, you and your favorite pooch or pooches are invited to a special event in Marshall.
Disa Farris, with Friends of Marshall Dog Park, is ecstatic the day finally has arrived for the park’s Grand Opening and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony.

Farris says thank yous are owed to many who helped make this proposed project become a reality.

Farris said Guier and his staff hand painted 900 nuts and bolts and took care of some other meticulous details with quality workmanship.
“We are very grateful for his (Guier’s) part in this, as well as the community’s patience and support. We are extending invitations to our city council, municipal services, the Saline Animal League- which she says has played a big role in overseeing the project, as well- and our entire community to come out and help celebrate this big day with us.”
The Marshall Dog Park is located adjacent to the north side of the Marshall Habilitation Center Lake, just south of Santa Fe Trail (or Highway 240) and north of North Lincoln Avenue.
