A 53-year-old homeless man has been charged with a couple of felonies after a traffic stop in Lafayette County on Friday, February 7.
A probable-cause statement says the vehicle he was driving was reported stolen out of Pleasant Valley. The man also allegedly was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.
According to court documents, Mark Len Huffman has been charged with Class D Felonies for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond has been fixed at $15,000.
Huffman pleaded not guilty during his arraignment hearing on February 7. His next hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, at Lafayette County circuit Court.
