Preschool screening is scheduled to be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the New Franklin R-1 School District.
A news release says this screening is for all children in the district who will be at least three years old before August 1, 2020.
Parents or guardians are advised to bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate, social-security number and shot record. Proof of residency also is required.
The district strongly encourages parents who are interested in sending their child to “Ready, Set, Grow” Preschool to have their child participate in this screening; and residents are urged tell any families you know who have 3- or 4-year-old children about this screening.
Screenings are by appointment only. Appointments may be made by calling the elementary office at (660) 848-2112.
