An area police department made a couple of drug arrests on March 1.
According to the Higginsville Police Department, two officers conducted a traffic stop in the Walmart parking lot. During the course of the stop, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located 170 grams of suspected methamphetamine packaged consistent for distribution; 86 grams of suspected marijuana packaged consistent for distribution; and numerous other items of contraband- including substances suspected to be MDMA/Ecstasy, LSD and prescription narcotics.
Two subjects were taken into custody.
Alan Douglas Howe, of Blue Springs, has been charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs in the First Degree. He is being held in the Lafayette County Jail on $50,000 bond. Rachelle Marie Sinclair, of Kansas City, has been charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs in the First Degree.
Howe pleaded not guilty during his arraignment hearing on Wednesday, March 4. His next hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11; and Sinclair’s initial hearing is pending at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
