A public meeting is scheduled to be held in an area county regarding roadway improvements.
According to a news release, notice is hereby given to all interested persons that an open-house information meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at the Pettis County Highway Department Barn, located at 1511 North Ohio Avenue in Sedalia.
The meeting will be held to gather public input about Route HH/H and Cedar Drive improvements.
The public may attend at any time during the advertised hours. Access for the physically disabled is available.
The project has three alternatives within a boundary of Route H, approximately eight-tenths of a mile west of U.S. Highway 65 to U.S. Highway 65; from approximately three-tenths of a mile north of Route H to the Route 765 intersection on U.S. Highway 65; from U.S. Highway 65 along Route HH, approximately one mile east of U.S. Highway 65; and Cedar Drive, from Route HH south to Griessen Road.
Right-of-Way and easements will be needed for the project.
All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning their views on this project with reference to the economic and social effects of such design, the impact on the environment and consistency with goals and objectives of the community.
Schematic plans prepared by Pettis County’s on-call consultant will be available for public viewing that the meeting. Written statements and exhibits will be made part of the public-meeting transcript, if received within 10 working days after the date of the meeting.
