Evergy has released a statement that the company has suspended disconnects as communities address coronavirus.
The company announced Friday, that it will not disconnect service for non-payment as customers and communities are facing potential hardship from coronavirus. This temporary moratorium includes residential and business customers.
Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer said in the statement that some customers may face unexpected or unusual financial strain that could come along with the unprecedented challenge of the Coronavirus.
Customers needing information about payment options, are encouraged to contact Evergy customer service. Payment arrangements may be set up online at evergy.com.
