As of 2 p.m. on Friday, April 3, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has reported the number of positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the state has surpassed 2,000.
According to the DHSS, the total number of positive cases in the state confirmed is 2,113- up from 1,834 on Thursday, April 2- including 19 deaths.
In the KMMO listening area, 20 cases have been confirmed in Lafayette County; four in Chariton County; two in each Saline, Cooper and Pettis County.
In addition, 74 positive cases have been confirmed in Boone County; 28 in Johnson County; four in Randolph County; three in Benton County; two in Ray County; and one in each Henry and Livingston County.
There have been a total of approximately 24,727 tests conducted.
One death has been reported in each Lafayette, Boone and Henry County.
DHSS expects the next update to be made at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 4.
