As of 2 p.m. on Monday, April 6, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) reported the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the state confirmed is 2,722-including 39 deaths. Those numbers are up from 2,367 and 34, respectively, on Sunday, April 5.
According to the DHSS, as of Monday, 31,654 COVID-19 tests had been conducted statewide.
In the KMMO listening area, 28 cases have been confirmed in Lafayette County (although Lafayette County Health Officials confirm only 24); four in Chariton County; three in Saline County (although healthcare officials now confirm five); and two in each Cooper and Pettis County.
In addition, 76 positive cases have been confirmed in Boone County; 32 in Johnson County; seven in Randolph County; four in Ray County; three in Benton County; two in each Henry and Linn County; and one in Livingston County.
One death has been reported in each Lafayette, Boone and Henry County.
DHSS expects the next update to be made at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7.
