Stephen J. (Steve) Melies, Sr., 75, of Shackelford and Blue Springs, MO, died Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, a private family graveside service will be held at Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery in Shackelford. Memorials may be made to Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery or St. Luke’s Hospice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com
Additional survivors include three children, Pamela Hutchins of Blue Springs, Stephen J. Melies, Jr. of Pleasant Hill and Christine Riley of Blue Springs; four grandchildren, Connor Hutchins, Hunter Melies (Kayla), Chase Melies and Samuel Riley; one brother, Norbert Melies (Mary) of Slater; one sister, Catherine Ann Finley of Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Alfred Melies and Delphine Schlueter Melies, Steve was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Samantha Renee Hutchins; two brothers, Bill and Leroy Melies; and one sister, Bernice Cartee.
