Katy Trail Community Health and Conagra have teamed up to provide a drive-thru COVID-19 testing location for Conagra employees. Testing began at 10 a.m. on Friday and within the first two hours; nearly 100 employees had been tested.
Katy Trail Community Health Chief Operations Officer, Tracy Simmons says the goal is to ensure all plant staff gets tested for the virus. The testing site is located in the Conagra parking lot. Employees will need to provide their Employee and Personnel ID and their insurance information.
Test results are usually returned within 48-hours but, Simmons said with the mass volume of testing being done at this site, it could take a little longer. Katy Trail staff will contact individuals whose results are returned as positive and will also communicate the positive results with the patient’s county of residence. The county health departments will then begin to work on contact tracing.
At the request of Conagra officials, Katy Trail Community Health will not be administering further testing.
