After a relatively calm last few days with only seven positive cases in nearly a week, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases jumped by nine on Tuesday in Saline County.
According to updated numbers from Saline County Health Department Administrator Tara Brewer, the total number of positive cases increased from 218 on Monday, May 11, to 227 on Tuesday, May 12.
However, 171 of those positive patients have recovered, leaving 56 active cases- one more than on Monday.
Six patients have been hospitalized.
Brewer says the numbers are based on case management provided by the health department’s staff.
