Westport Estates, senior living by Americare, reports that all test results for COVID-19 taken of all residents and employees on May 14 have come back as negative for the virus.
A news release says the tests were administered to all residents and employees at both buildings of Westport Estates in Marshall by the Saline County Health Department following one resident testing positive for the virus on May 11. That resident remains hospitalized.
In-room quarantine will remain in effect until May 26 for residents, which represents 14 days from possible exposure. All residents have been receiving daily wellness checks since March 13, and are now being checked every four hours during waking hours for symptoms.
All staff members are wearing N95 masks while in the building and gloves while in resident rooms.
