The Coronavirus has claimed another annual event as a victim.
Slater City Administrator Gene Griffith explains it was a difficult decision for the city council  to call off McQueen Day during its meeting on Tuesday, May 19.

Griffith said McQueen Day- honoring former Slater resident, the late Steve McQueen, with events including a classic car show- was scheduled for Saturday, June 20.
