Felony charges have been filed against a Marshall resident for allegedly being in possession of child pornography dating back to 2017.
According to a probable-cause statement, a report from a Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent says HSI in Kansas City was in receipt of six reports submitted to NCMEC by Dropbox, Inc. Two reports were from November 2017, two reports were from December 2017 and one each on February 19 and April 23, 2018.
The accounts associated with the Dropbox accounts were identified as belonging to Brandon Lee Walker. All six reports reported the images/videos of child pornography had been uploaded to servers from an IP Address connected to Walker.
During a forensic analysis of electronic devices used by Walker, a total of approximately 2,563 suspected child pornography files were found- of which 401 were suspected child pornography videos and 2,162 were suspected child pornography images.
During his interview with investigators, Walker admitted to having cloud accounts and e-mail accounts, using many different e-mails. Walker admitted to downloading/uploading images and videos of children ranging from six to 13 years of age. He said he collected the images and videos, but did not review them.
Walker has been charged with three counts of a Class B Felony for Possession of Child Pornography. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Walker’s initial hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
