Countywide, city and school district issues are on the ballot for voters in Cooper County during the Municipal Election on Tuesday, June 2.
County residents will vote on Proposition 1, which is to continue a countywide half-cent sales tax through December 31, 2024.
Also, all the citizens of Cooper County will vote on an “Extension Proposition” to authorize a 14-cent tax on personal and real property to fund University of Missouri Extension programs.
In the city of Boonville, the city is asking for approval of a half-cent sales tax for five years.
The Village of Windsor Place is asking registered voters to establish a business license tax of $25 per year for qualifying businesses within the village’s boundaries.
In the city of Prairie Home, voters are asked to vote on Proposition A to impose a one-percent sales tax.
The city of Bunceton is asking voters if it can forego future elections when the number of candidates equals the number of positions.
The Tipton R-6 School District is asking voters to approve a $4 million bond, with the debt-service levy to remain unchanged at $1.08.
The California Rural Fire Protection District is asking to increase its rate of levy from 20 to 80 cents.
The Moniteau County R-1 School District is asking voters to approve “Proposition 2020- Vision for the Future”- a $10.75 million bond, with the debt-service levy to remain unchanged at $1.1355.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
