A 51-year-old Sedalia man has been charged with a couple of felonies relating to an alleged burglary on June 1.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities were dispatched to the 300 block of East Main Street to investigate a possible burglary. The building in question is a boarded-up older building not in current daily use.
Authorities noticed a cart nearby with scrap metal on it and a couple of bags on the ground with gloves, tools and other burglary-type items in them. There also was a bicycle and an appliance dolly.
Authorities canvassed the area and eventually a subject began tossing gloves and tools out the window. Authorities took Eric A. Monsees into custody.
Monsees has been charged with a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree and a Class E Felony for Possession of Burglary Tools. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Monsees was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, June 3, at Pettis County Circuit Court. No other information is available at this time.
