After a traffic stop on June 1 in Lafayette County, authorities allegedly uncovered some marijuana, and a felony charge has been filed against two Versailles men.
A deputy’s report says a package in the driver’s-side floorboard contained 495 grams of leafy marijuana. Another package under the passenger’s seat contained 490 grams of leafy marijuana, making a total of 2.17 pounds.
Michael Eugene Jensen and Rick William Lawson have been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bond for each defendant has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Jensen and Lawson pleaded not guilty during their arraignment hearing on Tuesday, June 2. Each defendant’s next hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
