Marshall Parks and Recreation Director Chad Unterreiner says some amenities in the parks system have opened, while others are not open for now.
Unterreiner says the shelter houses are open on a first-come, first-served basis.

Unterreiner says the ball fields are now open.

Unterreiner said the only change for the golf course is the park board has approved allowing persons the option of riding together in golf carts if they choose. Prior to the meeting on Wednesday, June 3, the rule was one cart, one person. He said the driving range also has been opened.
The clubhouse is closed at least through June 15, depending on what Governor Mike Parson announces. The Golf House Grill restaurant is still doing carry-out orders. Patrons are not allowed to dine in, but they may eat on the patio. He said the clubhouse could open June 16 for dine-in, depending on the governor’s order.
Unterreiner says the tennis courts will remain closed all summer. He said the courts are scheduled to be renovated beginning at the end of June.
Unterreiner talks about the Marshall Aquatic Center in another story posted on our local news page at kmmo.com and on our Facebook page.
