A Stover resident charged with a felony for allegedly burglarizing a home in Otterville on June 2 is scheduled to be in court on Tuesday.
An officer was dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress at a home on North Olive. While in route, the officer noticed a suspect fitting the description of the suspect who had fled the home, and he was taken into custody without incident.
The reporting party told authorities when he got out of the shower, Dustin Eugene Galloway was standing in his kitchen. There was a verbal confrontation and Galloway fled. Shortly after Galloway fled the residence, the victim said he noticed two $100 bills were missing out of his wallet.
Galloway has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree and a misdemeanor for stealing. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety.
A Counsel Status Hearing in this case is scheduled to be held at 10 :30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
