With temperatures heating up, many Marshall and area residents are hoping they get to take a dip into the cool water of the Marshall Aquatic Center soon.
The facility ordinarily opens Memorial Day weekend, but this year COVID-19 has taken a big bite out of summertime fun at the aquatic center for now.
Marshall Parks and Recreation Director Chad Unterreiner says much of the park board’s meeting on Wednesday, July 1, was spent talking about the opening of the aquatic center, which is slated for later this month.

However, Unterreiner explains some things will be different.

Unterreiner further clarifies there will be a charge for each session the pool is open.

As Unterreiner said, the opening of the aquatic center is still on track for July 13.
