schd-levels

The Saline County Health Department has issued guidance concerning COVID19 in a chart on its Facebook page.

A news release from Administrator Tara Brewer says at this time, staff will review the level weekly. Goals include reassurance and guidance to citizens, business owners, restaurants and schools. Residents will be able to review the current level of Saline County at www.salinecountyhealthdepartment.com and/or on Facebook Saline County Health Department starting Friday, August 7.

Brewer says: “It’s your personal responsibility to enforce this among staff, patrons, self and family at your discretion. (The) Saline County Health Department is not limited to these recommendations. An order can be placed in effect if it’s for the greater good of public health. SCHD reserves the right to change risk level anytime based on circumstances.”

Registered Nurse Elizabeth Frerking explains the health department does not want to issue a health order.

Registered Nurse Lisa Thomas says the health department appreciates the support from the county’s residents.

Licensed Practical Nurse Karla Link says what happens will stem from actions of residents.

Brewer adds: “As the week progresses on, we will release the regions of Saline (County). This way SCHD can be more specific to different cities or areas. Right now, Saline County is a level 2.”
