Evergy Missouri West, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri West customers will see a decrease in the fuel adjustment charge (FAC) on their electric bills starting on September 1, 2020.

A news release says Evergy Missouri West made two filings with the Missouri Public Service Commission. In its first filing (ER-2020-0421), Evergy Missouri West proposed to adjust the FAC to reflect changes in its fuel and purchased power costs for the six month period of December 2019 through May 2020. The second filing was Evergy Missouri West’s FAC true-up (EO-2020-0420).

For a residential customer using 1,000 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month, the FAC will drop by approximately $1.77 a month, from approximately $1.75 a month to a bill credit of approximately $0.02 a month.

Evergy Missouri West provides electric service to approximately 347,400 customers in 31 Missouri counties, including Carroll, Lafayette and Pettis in the KMMO listening area.
