During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, September 8, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner gave an update on the water project taking place at Marshall Junction.

Saline County voters approved the half-cent sales-tax measure during the April 2018 Municipal Election. The collection of the tax began in October 2018 and will sunset on December 31, 2038. About a third of the estimated total of $22 million is earmarked to be used to get water and sewer and other infrastructure in place to attract businesses to the Marshall Junction area.
