Lafayette County saw an increase of 26 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

To date, there has been a total of 309 cases of the virus reported in the county. With 230 persons deemed “recovered”, 76 cases remain active. According to the Lafayette County Health Department, ten of the new cases are patient residents in a long term care facility.

Approximately 17-percent of the county population has been tested for the virus.
