A roadwork project is scheduled to take place this week in Chariton County.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says a scrub-seal project is scheduled to take place on Highway 5 from U.S. Highway 24 to the Howard County line from Monday, September 14- Wednesday, September 16.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane, and flaggers and a pilot car will guide motorists through the work zone.

All work is weather permitting.
