A Sedalia man sustained moderate injuries in an early morning crash in Pettis County on Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened as the westbound vehicle driven by 26-year-old Jonathan Jamison, of Sedalia, traveled into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by 58-year-old John Lappin, of Marshall. Lappin’s vehicle struck Jamison’s vehicle causing it to hit a stop sign and travel off the roadway.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were transported by EMS to Bothwell Hospital. A 23-year-old passenger, in Jamison’s vehicle, Caleb Brehm, of Sedalia sustained moderate injuries and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m. on US Highway 65 at Grand Avenue in Sedalia.
