Two area residents are facing felony charges after an incident on Thursday, September 24, in Pettis County.

According to a probable-cause statement, a law-enforcement officer checked on a vehicle with its hood up on Gottschalk Road, just south of U.S. Highway 50. Investigation revealed the vehicle- a Polaris Ranger ATV- was stolen from a farm in Pettis County.

Also, the male subject ran from the scene at the time the law-enforcement officer was questioning a woman who was at the scene.

Korbin Pointer-Benn, of Houstonia, and Chelsey Arp, of Marshall, each has been charged with a Class D Felony for Receiving Stolen Property. Pointer Benn also has been charged with a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest for a Felony. Bond has been set at $15,000 for Pointer-Benn. Arp’s bond has not been set yet.

An initial hearing for each of the accused is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
