Four Richmond residents suffered moderate injuries in a head-on traffic crash in Ray County on Saturday.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 17-year-old Aliah Newsome, crossed the center line and struck a westbound vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Skyler Noelker.

The drivers and passengers in Noelker’s vehicle- 21-year-old Kaitlyn Harp and 27-year-old Kelsie Pierson- were transported by ambulances to Liberty and North Kansas City Hospitals for treatment. Newsome and Harp were not wearing seat belts.

The crash happened at 10:30 a.m. on Business 10, one-quarter of a mile east of the Missouri Highway 10 West Junction.
