Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation are scheduled to replace a culvert pipe on an area rural route this week.

According to a news release from MoDOT, the work is scheduled to take place on Route V, west of Armstrong in Howard County, on Wednesday, October 21.

For the safety of travelers and workers on the road, Route V will be closed in both directions between County Road 263 and County Road 265 from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Message boards will be in place to warn motorists in advance of the closure. Drivers will need to seek an alternate route around the work area.

All work is weather permitting.
