A 62-year-old Sedalia man who was arrested after the execution of a search warrant in Pettis County and is facing multiple felony charges has appeared in court.

According to a news release, the Sedalia Police Department served the warrant in the 3100 block of Wing Avenue on October 9. Upon making entry, three adult subjects were located and detained without incident.

Officers say they found methamphetamine, buprenorphine naloxone, marijuana, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia during the search.

Joseph Michael Jones has been charged with Class C Felonies for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree and Delivery of a Controlled Substance; and two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Jones posted $75,000 surety bond on October 15.

Two other subjects-20- and 26-year-old men- were released at the scene. Charges have not been filed against them at this time.

Jones was arraigned on Tuesday, October 20. A counsel-status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
