The United States General Election is today as voters will head to the polls to cast their votes.

In addition to the President of the U.S., Missouri voters will cast their votes on who will be Governor for the next four years; Lieutenant Governor; Secretary of State; State Treasurer; State Attorney General; several seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, State House of Representatives and Senate, County sheriffs, County Commissioners, Public Administrators, Coroners and Surveyors, as well as some other county offices.

Voters also will decide on the fate of two Missouri Constitutional Amendments. Amendment 1 is in regard to extend the two-term restriction that applies to the Governor and Treasurer to the Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Auditor and Attorney General. Amendment 3 says: Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to band gifts from paid lobbyists to legislators and their employees; reduce legislative campaign contribution limits; change the redistricting process voters approved in 2018 by: transferring responsibility for drawing state legislative districts from the nonpartisan state demographer to governor-appointed bipartisan commissions; and modifying and reordering the redistricting criteria.

Voters also will be asked whether or not to retain two judges- Patricia Breckenridge as a Missouri Supreme Court Judge; and Tom Chapman to the Western District of the Missouri Court of Appeals.

Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. If you are in line at 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.
