A 58-year-old Sedalia man is facing felony charges following a traffic stop in May.

According to a deputy’s report, on May 27, the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force was conducting surveillance on Douglas Bradley. who was seen driving on U.S. Highway 50 toward Kansas City. While the traffic stop was being conducted, the deputy notice Bradley moving around inside the vehicle, and then throw something out of the driver’s-side window.

Deputies retrieved a baggie, which contained a black substance, consistent with heroin. A passenger in Bradley’s vehicle confirmed it was black tar heroin.

Bradley is charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Tampering with Physical Evidence in a Felony Prosecution. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety.

Bradley’s case has been continued and his next court appearance is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 16 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
