The coronavirus pandemic has claimed another annual event as a victim.

According to the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, it has made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 Sedalia Christmas Parade due to COVID-19.

A statement reads: “The safety and health of our community is of the upmost importance to the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce. With that in mind, the extremely difficult decision was made to cancel the 2020 Christmas Parade.”
