As of noon on Monday, November 23, the positive case count of COVID-19 surpassed the 3,000 mark in an area county since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to Pettis County Health Center officials, the count had risen to 3,089- up from 2,997 on Friday, November 20. However, the other numbers for recoveries and hospitalizations were not mentioned. There have been 30 COVID-19-related deaths in Pettis County.

In Lafayette County, health-department officials say the positive case count increased by 54 over the weekend to 1,357. No other information was made available.

Twenty-eight more positive cases were added in Howard County, raising its total to 699. With 632 positive patients released from public health isolation as recovered and one death, there are 66 active cases, including two positive patients hospitalized.

Saline County added 11 more positive cases on Monday, raising its total to 1,643. With 1,449 recoveries- including 45 on Monday- and 17 deaths, there are 177 active cases, including 13 positive patients hospitalized.

In Chariton County, seven more positive cases were confirmed, upping its total to 407. Due to 297 recoveries, there are 110 active cases.

Updates were not available from Carroll and Cooper Counties.
