Approximately 20-percent of all cases reported in the KMMO listening area, since the start of the pandemic, remain active.

**SALINE**
In Saline County, there were 48 new cases of COVID-19, three new deaths and 31 recoveries reported by the Saline County Health Department on Wednesday. The total number of positive cases in Saline County is now up to 1,710. With 1,501 recoveries, 27 total deaths and 6 persons still hospitalized, there are 182 active cases.

**CARROLL**
As of Tuesday, November 24, Carroll County Health Department had confirmed 529 total positive cases. With 447 released from observation, and a total of nine deaths, 73 cases remain active.

**CHARITON**
There were eight new positive cases of COVID-19 and three more recoveries reported in Chariton County on Wednesday, November 25. This raises the total to 424 positive cases. With 321 released from public health isolation, there are 103 cases that remain active.

**COOPER**
From November 18 through November 25, the Cooper County Health Center added 96 new cases to their total raising that number to 1,217. With 939 recovered, seven hospitalizations and a total of six deaths, 124 cases remain active.

**HOWARD**
According to the Howard County Public Health Department there was a total of 39 new cases reported Tuesday and Wednesday, raising the total to 739. There have been 21 persons released from observation over the two day counting period. With 653 recovered, three hospitalizations and a total of two deaths in the county, there are currently 84 active cases. According to the health department the second death noted has been added from previous months that was under investigation and is being updated to match the State of Missouri’s dashboard for the county.

**JOHNSON**
In Johnson County, there have been 2,687 total cases confirmed as of Wednesday. With 1,933 cases classified as recovered, and 16 deaths, 738 cases remain active.

**LAFAYETTE**
The Lafayette County Health Department reported 97 new cases of COVID-19 since the last update on Friday, November 20. These new cases raise the total to 1,400 positive cases. With 1,083 recovered, and a total of 30 deaths, there are currently 287 active cases.

**PETTIS**
As of Tuesday, the Pettis County Health Center had reported 3,188 total cases. With 2,347 recovered, 26 persons hospitalized and a total of 32 deaths since the start of the pandemic, 811 cases remain active.

Missouri is in the red zone for cases, indicating 101 or more new cases per 100,000 population, with the 18th highest rate in the country. Missouri is also in the red zone for test positivity, indicating a rate at or above 10.1%, with the 5th highest rate in the country. Missouri has seen an increase in new cases and a decrease in test positivity.
