Calvin Harold Kirchhoff, 93, of rural Nelson, MO, died Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Golden Oaks Assisted Living in rural Marshall.

Private family service with military rites will be held at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in rural Marshall. Memorials may be made to Smith Chapel United Methodist Church or Smith Chapel Cemetery in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born July 29, 1927, in Mt. Leonard, MO, he was the son of the late William Kirchhoff and Mabel Hunt Kirchhoff. He was graduate of Miami High School. Calvin lived in Pettis County most of his life where he was a carpenter and dairy farmer. On September 7, 1954, he married Mary Marie Heying at Smith Chapel Church in rural Marshall. Calvin was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1945 to 1947 in the Philippines. He was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by four daughters, Marsha Scheese (Ray) of Loveland, CO, Denise Irvine (Andy) of Barnett, MO, Loretta Crawford (Rick) of rural Marshall and Teresa Wells (John) of Cole Camp, MO; eight grandchildren, Scott Scheese (Bekah), James West (Meagan), Jana Halford (Matt), Heather McCracken (Jeff), Canaan Crawford (Shelby), Johnny Wells, Robert Wells (Waronya) and Victoria Wells (Michael Goff); 14 great-grandchildren, Zane, Vander and Ezekeal Halford, Ainsley, Owen and Eghan McCracken, Karlee B. and Kaylee Crawford, Silas, Thea and Calvin West, Bren, Reid and Dean Goff; one sister, Nona Stouffer; as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews.

 

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
