Cecil Cott, 83, of Marshall, MO, formerly of rural Gilliam, MO, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Dr. Mike Parris officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born April 19, 1937, in Gilliam, MO, he was the son of the late Cecil C. Cott and Lucile Field Cott. On August 4, 1962, he married Barbara Giger who survives of the home. He was a farmer and had also worked at Ridge Park Cemetery and Wal-Mart. He and Barbara lived in Marshall since 1986, moving from the farm near Gilliam. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall and a former member of Gill Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of Gideon’s International. He enjoyed going to St. Louis to Cardinal baseball games.

Survivors include his wife Barbara and two children, Steven Cott (France) of Marshall and Sharon Welch of Poplar Bluff, MO.
