Tenia R. Wright, age 92, of Slater, died Thursday, January 7, 2021, at her home.

Private family funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Slater, with Rev. Patrick Dillard officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Slater. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul Baptist Church, in care of the funeral home.

Born December 31, 1928 in Napton, she was the daughter of the late Fred C. and Bessie Webb Falls. On October 23, 1953 in Slater, she married Albert Wright, Jr., and preceded her in death on July 8, 2015.

She is survived by two sons, Robert “Bobby” Falls and his wife Katherine of Marshall, and Albert Eugene Wright and his wife Phesa of Marshall; four daughters, Ruth Wright of Slater, Janet Cason and her husband Gary of Moberly, Lisa Wright of Slater, and Victoria Curren and her husband Perry of Slater; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmer Falls and his wife Gloria of Kansas City; three sisters, Mary Williams of Higginsville, Maxine Falls, and Lucy Falls, both of Slater; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Wright; three brothers, Robert Falls, Fred Falls, and James Falls; a sister, Virginia Ellis; a granddaughter, Angela Dibble; and a great-grandson, Avion Albert Wright.

Mrs. Wright was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She was a long-time member of the Mother Board, Usher Board, and Church Choir. She was past-Treasurer of the Mission Department, and past-Treasurer of the Western Missouri Free Will Baptist Mission Department. Mrs. Wright was the oldest living Mother of St. Paul Baptist Church.
