More than 30 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in the past week in Carroll County.

According to health-department officials, on Wednesday, January 13, the total number of cases is 882- up from 845 on January 6. With 23 COVID-19-related deaths and 821 recoveries, there are 38 active cases in the county.

In the past two days, the total of positive cases increased by 33- from 2,436 to 2,469- in Saline County. With 47 deaths and 2,161 previously-positive cases now deemed inactive, there are 161 active cases in the county.

Howard County reported eight new positive cases and 19 recoveries on Wednesday. With four deaths and 954 recoveries, there are 32 active cases in the county, including one positive patient hospitalized.

Seven new positive cases were confirmed in Chariton County, increasing its total to 746. Due to 669 recoveries and 16 deaths, 61 cases remain active.

Three new positive cases were added in Pettis County, but the active case count decreased by more than 40. The total positive case count is now 4,530. With 4,101 recoveries and 68 deaths, there are 361 active cases in the county, including nine positive patients hospitalized.

Updates were not available from Cooper and Lafayette Counties.
