A 29-year-old Green Ridge man facing multiple felony charges following the execution of several search warrants last year has a court proceeding set for later this month.

According to a report from the Sedalia Police Department, on April 16, officers conducted a traffic stop of a suspect related to an ongoing drug investigation, and Samuel David Woolery II was immediately taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Investigators with the Sedalia Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit, patrol officers and Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies served five search warrants at residences in Sedalia and Green Ridge, two storage units in Sedalia and the suspect’s vehicle nearly simultaneously.

The searches revealed approximately 14 pounds of marijuana; four pounds of THC edibles; 75 marijuana plants; prescription pills; cocaine; psychedelic mushrooms; firearms; and a large amount of U.S. currency believed to be the profit of illegal drug sales. Additional evidence indicates the suspect was manufacturing and distributing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of Green Ridge School.

Court documents say Woolery is charged with a Class B Felony for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance within 2,000 Feet of a School or College; a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; three counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance; and an Unclassified Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Woolery posted $125,000 surety bond on April 21. Woolery was indicted by a Grand Jury on June 24.

Woolery, who entered a plea of not guilty on during his arraignment on July 20, is due for a hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
