A 29-year-old Sedalia man is facing multiple sex-related felony charges for allegedly inappropriately touching three female children.

A probable-cause statement says the children were ages 12, 10 and 4. The alleged sexual abuse first was reported by a social worker at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City on January 26.

The children explained the incidents in explicit details to a child-safe investigator on February 1. During a separate interview, one of the children said Paul John Schraml IV threatened to kill her and her entire family if she told anybody.

Court documents say Schraml is charged with two counts of a Class A Felony for Child Molestation in the First Degree; two counts of a Class E Felony for Incest; Class E Felonies for Sexual Misconduct Involving a Child Less Than 15 and Tampering with Physical Evidence in a Felony Prosecution; and Unclassified Felonies for Statutory Rape or Attempt of a Person Less Than 14 Years Old- Aggravated Sexual Offense, Statutory Sodomy or Attempt- Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less Than 14 Years Old and Statutory Sodomy or Attempt- Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less Than 12 Years Old. The court has set bond at no bond.

Schraml was formally arraigned on February 17. His next hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
