The Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau’s grant program was established to provide startup funding to nonprofits hosting area events, programs and sporting events.

A press release says to be eligible for the grant, the event must promote the development and growth of overnight tourism in Warrensburg. The WCVB has awarded more than $30,000 in grant funding since 2015.

To offer flexibility for event organizers and to continue the mission of the grant, the WCVB Board has revised the current grant program by adding application deadlines; and revising the eligibility criteria to allow 501c6 and 501c3 nonprofit organizations to apply.

The grant application deadlines are now March 27, May 28 and July 31. The May and July deadlines are subject to fund availability. Applications and grant information can be found at VisitWarrensburg.com under the About Section.
