The Salisbury Lady Panthers have advanced to a district title game for the third year in a row following a 48-36 semifinal round win over New Franklin Wednesday night in action
heard on KMMO-FM.

Trailing 6-5 midway through the opening quarter, the Lewis and Clark Conference school scored the next 12 points to go on top 17-6 and after that their lead was never seriously threatened.

The Lady Panthers were in front by double digits a good portion of the evening. They led 39-28 going into the final period, then stretched the margin to as much as 16 before settling for their 48-36 victory.

Freshman Micah Guilford drained three threes and scored 20 points to pace Salisbury. Meanwhile, Khloe Wyatt tossed in two threes and tallied 16 points in addition
to being a dominant force on the boards for the winners.

New Franklin received 11 points from Abby Maupin while Carly Dorson tacked on 10 for her side.

The Lady Bulldogs ended their year with a record of 10-15 as Salisbury improves to 15-6 overall before hosting Harrisburg at 6 pm Friday for the Class 2 District 7 crown.
