Bruce Wayne Gates, age 62, of Concordia, MO, died Monday, March 1, 2021, in Lafayette County, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 5, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Concordia Baptist Cemetery. Face masks are required at all services, and social distancing will be observed.

Born January 9, 1959, in Chicago Heights, IL, he was the son of the late Vernon Charles Gates and Margaret Lois Henderson Gates. He was a 1979 graduate of Concordia High School and attended Central Missouri State University. On June 6, 1992, he married Christina Schnakenberg who survives of the home. He lived in Concordia since 1971 and was a member of Concordia Baptist Church. He worked at the Creamery in Emma, Lutheran Good Shepherd Home, and Milbank Manufacturing Company the last 25 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an artist.

Survivors include his wife, Christina; three brothers, Vernon Charles “Chuck” Gates Jr. (Nicole) of Nashua, NH, Barton Eugene “Bart” Gates (Ekachai Wattanakoson) of the state of California and Brent Allen Gates of El Reno, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
