A Lexington man is facing a couple of felonies for an incident in Lafayette County in September of last year.

According to a report from the Lexington Police Department, on September 1, 2020, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of Highland Avenue. The calling party stated that Earl Stackhouse, who was 23-years-old at the time of the incident, was beating on her door with an axe. Before officers arrived, the caller advised dispatch that Stackhouse had gained entry to the residence.

After officers arrived and ordered Stackhouse to drop the axe, he fled the scene. Stackhouse was apprehended a short time later in front of the Lexington Water Plant and was taken into custody.

Stackhouse was arraigned and pleaded not guilty, on March 24 to Class E Felonies for Resisting/Interfering With Arrest for a Felony and Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Exhibiting. Bond is set at $15,000 cash only.

His next court appearance is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 7 at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
