Robert Dwight “Bobby” Thomas, age 63, was taken too soon on April 22, 2021.

Bobby resided all his life on his family farm, established in 1885, where he grew both grain and livestock. He was named Outstanding Farmer of 2006 by Cooper Soil and Water Conservation District. He served on the Farm Service Agency (FSA) board, was President of the New Lebanon Cemetery Board and was a member of the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.

Bobby leaves a legacy of love and integrity with his family and those who knew him. He has left behind wonderful memories of a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. We are grateful for each and every day we were blessed to have him in our lives.

He is survived by his wife Rita (Ellebracht) Thomas, his son, Robert, and his daughter, Kayla. Sisters, Liz (Bill) Dumortier, Roberta (Jack) Schibi, and Twilla (Tim) Shrout. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lyle, and Mary Elizabeth (Cordry) Thomas.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Otterville on Sunday April 25. Visitation will be from 1-3:45 p.m., with a service immediately following at 4 p.m.

The family requests no flowers/plants, but rather donations to the New Lebanon Cemetery or contributions of your choice. Randy Weaver will officiate. Burial will be in the New Lebanon Cemetery.
